Bush s foreign policy and defense advisers were trying to define a strategic framework and adapt U.S. armed forces to the revolution in military affairs. The president was beginning to speak more about free trade and remaking U.S. foreign aid. During the presidential campaign, Bush had talked about the importance of foreign policy and to strengthen our defenses. After the attacks on 9/11 the administration launched a global war on terror. This focused on worldwide terrorist threats instead of just al-Qaeda. To get intelligence from terrorist, they kept them in custody, sent them over to be interrogated, and sometimes tortured them. The cubic base of the One World Trade Center is similar to the Twin Towers. This skyscraper has roughly 49,000 cubic yards of concrete, which is enough to pave 200 miles of New York City’s sidewalks. The developers of the One World Trade Center designed the tower to be the safest in the world. Instead of standard concrete, they used high-strength concrete, which is seven times stronger.
